Our History
Glyn Evans moved with his family to the Billingshurst area after purchasing a local dairy in 1961. Loxwood Dairies operated for 25 years servicing the villages of Loxwood, Ifold, Wisborough Green, Alfold & Dunsfold.

The dairy was sold in 1986 to Taylors of Wick Farm, Littlehampton, who operated a depot in Billingshurst just north of Billy’s On The Road Restaurant near Five Oaks. The Evans family remained in the dairy trade however, with Glyns son Gareth continuing as an independent milkman with a daily delivery service to Loxwood & Ifold until 1999 when he sold the dairy to Unigate.
Gareth Evans & Chris Brown have brought back the door step delivery to the area with Billingshurst Dairies. Offering fresh, local produce and high quality milk in glass bottles from their vintage electric milkfloat, the firm aims to operate in a plastic free and sustainable way, providing a local service for local people.
