Nellys farm eggs
Lionel from Nelly's Farm in Plaistow, is well known locally for his ecological ethos and free range products. His family of 'forever hens' are spoilt rotten with a wonderful diet and are guaranteed not to be pressurised into laying lots of eggs all year around.
Lionel's 'forever' pledge means that after being pampered during its working life, each hen can look forward to luxury retirement in the Sussex countryside, or to being re-homed as pets with some suitable new humans. The result is simply the best eggs you can get in Sussex, and probably anywhere else. Nelly's eggs also end up in their wonderful Scotch Eggs and Sausage Rolls. All are available to be delivered fresh, direct to your door.
Truly free range
Nelly's farm hens have acres of land to explore. Lionel has even introduced earth berms to increase biodiversity and provide areas for the hens to scratch around in.
Happy Hens
As Nelly's hens are not fed hormones or kept under artificial light in a heated shed, they know when its winter and tend not to lay as many eggs. Lionel is happy with this and will make up any shortfall from a neighbours free range hens
Delicious Scotch Eggs
Scotch eggs from Nell Ball Farm are different. They are the only approved food producer using eggs that they personally gather from their own flock of truly free range hens, all of which are hand reared on the farm down in West Sussex.<br /> The eggs are noted for their wonderful golden centres which originate from the fact that the hens spend their lives running freely and unstressed outside all year long in a natural environment.

Nelly’s only use wholes sides of pork for their meat which gives for a greater flavour and texture. To these prime ingredients we add a few magic extras to bring you some great variations upon the classic Scotch egg and not to forget the traditionalist; we make a classic version to. When eating a Nell Ball Farm product one can be certain they are eating only the best natural, fresh and well sourced foods. To complement the superb eggs, the pork meat is sourced from a local farm where the pigs roam in the fields.<br />
